Artwork > Still Lifes

When choosing objects for a still life I'm drawn to things that reflect light like the glossy, iridescent scales of a fish or the reflective surface of metal bake ware. I also choose colored glass ware for the way light passes through it and casts a lit shadow. I find the distortion and muted color of a reflection or shadow translates to something beautiful and mysterious.
